"When the color is at its best, The shape looks better too.

The contrasts and the resemblances in the colors,
Here is the secret of the drawing and of the shapes".

Why Drawing?
Drawings were long relegated to a inferior status among artistic media, overshadowed by "major" representational work.
Yet it is precisely the unfinished, provisional and vulnerable nature of drawings that makes them so appealing and illuminating.
As a medium, drawing allows the artist to work in a freer, more direct manner, unfettered by the difficulties and resistance that some more intractable materials present.
It is a medium of reflection,an instrument of self-reassurance and analysis.
A few years ago,the Berlin Academy of Arts put on an exhibition titled " Drawing is Another Kind of Language."
And, indeed, it is a language that is difficult to translate into other idioms. It is, however, possible to get an idea of which rules of "grammar" it operates by.
